Did you know?

Ann Bancroft was born Anna Maria Italiano to two Italian immigrant parents in the Bronx, New York. In 1952 she made her acting debut in Don't Bother to Knock. In 1962 she won an Academy Award for her performance in The Miracle Worker. She also received four other Academy Award nominations for her roles in The Turning Point, Agnes of God, The Graduate, and The Pumpkin Eater. Bancroft is one of only fifteen actors to win the "triple crown" of acting: in addition to winning an Academy Award, she won two Tonys and an Emmy. Ann Bancroft was a true American legend on the screen and stage.
